Highlights of the Shore Debris Table at the openin Highlights of the Shore Debris Table at the opening night of Plastic: Remaking Our World @natmuseum_sg. The shore table installation has always been about engaging communities through a tactile and close-up encounter with microplastic, so we are grateful to have the opportunity to reach out to audiences at the National Museum of Singapore, including Minister of Sustainability and the Environment @gracefu.hy, and various stakeholders in the arts and the environment!
.
Much thanks to our dear partners @natmuseum_sg, @thirtytwocm, @flybright.cr8, and curator @meahoffmann.

What is play? Perhaps it is simply having no fear What is play? Perhaps it is simply having no fear of failing.
We created a participatory social sculpture where children and adults use scrap cloth from old shirts to make a free form web structure, building on a connecting node created by the previous person. Gravel, leaves and mulch reintroduce the sensations of physical balance, texture, and sound. Created for @playeum x SUSS Everyday Play event at One Punggol.

Using sensors to track the refills from Ayer Fount Using sensors to track the refills from Ayer Fountains at the @theconsciousfestival last weekend, we estimated more than 600 single-use plastic bottles were diverted from Singapore’s waste stream in less than 3 days.
- The production of 600 single-use bottled water produces between 40-60KG of CO2 carbon emissions.
- It takes 2-4L of water to produce just 1L of bottled water.
- Half of what the world spends on bottled water annually can finance safe drinking water projects for hundreds of millions of people without it.
How can you play a part in the social and climate conversation? Try not buying that bottled water and #byob Bring Your Own Bottle to refill.
Much thanks to @nikoiisland @cempedakisland for sponsoring the fountains and @greenisthenewblackcom @southbeachavenuesg for supporting the project!
